Granting Organizer Access and Assigning to a Project

Adding the Organizer role to a Contact

The ability to grant administrative rights is available to administrators in the system.

To do so, log into your system with administrative access and then click on "Contacts" and then click on the detail link for the contact in question.

Scroll down and on the right there will be a box labeled "Site Access". Click on the "Manager Site Access" button.



Then you can toggle the Organizer administrator role (default is volunteer) as enabled and then click on "Update Account".

Adding Organizer to an existing Project

If a contact is an Organizer they can be assigned as administrators to a specific  project(s).

To assign an Organizer to a project:

Log into your VolunteerMatters system with the proper security access roles and then click "Projects" (Briefcase Icon) from the main menu.

On the project you wish to add an "Organizer", click the "Dashboard" button (Projects_Dashboard_Button.png).

This will open the "Project Dashboard" page.  The Project Dashboard provides a high level view of project analytics and data for administrators and organizers.  On the "Project Dashboard", click the "Manage" drop-down button (Projects_Manage_Button.png) and select "Project Setup".

Once on the "Project Setup" page, you will see the "Project Organizers" section (typically on the right column - depends on your browser width). Click in the "Choose Project Organizers" section and then select the organizers desired.  NOTE: You can start to type in the field to filter the organizer results in the drop-down.

Then click "Add Organizers".

This will make that contact an organizer on the project the next time they log in.

 


Removing an Organizer from an existing Project

To Remove an Organizer from a Project they are assigned to:

Log into your VolunteerMatters system with the proper security access roles and then click "Projects" (Briefcase Icon) from the main menu.

On the project you wish to remove an "Organizer", click the "Dashboard" button (Projects_Dashboard_Button.png).

This will open the "Project Dashboard" page.  The Project Dashboard provides a high level view of project analytics and data for administrators and organizers.  On the "Project Dashboard", click the "Manage" drop-down button (Projects_Manage_Button.png) and select "Project Setup".

Once on the "Project Setup" page, you will see the "Project Organizers" section (typically on the right column - depends on your browser width).  On the the Organizer you wish to remove, click the "Remove" button (Project_Remove_Image_Button.jpg).

You will be prompted to confirm.  Simply click "Yes, remove" and you are done.
