Another significant enhancement to the group sign-up and onboarding process. To accommodate the needs of various types of groups with younger volunteers, parents or guardians can now register on behalf of minors for volunteer opportunities and sign agreements via email for the minor. This allows a child to have an assignment without needing to provide an email address or create an account in the portal.
This only occurs when signing up from an "Enhanced" or "Individual Credited" group sign-up link and only requires agreement credentials. The Group Leader will need to sign up normally and once the Group Sign-Up link is available, then this will come into play.
There is no need to enable or disable this method on a per project basis. Once enabled in the system, if enhanced group sign-up is enabled on a project, any shift need sign-ups where the minimum age is under 18, the Parent/Guardian Sign-Up on Behalf of Minors will display. On any shift need sign-ups where the minimum age is 18 or above, it will not display and the group sign-up will act as normal.
This functionality can be disabled globally if you simply want to utilize the enhanced group sign-up on it's own.
