360MatchPro Volunteer Hub by Double the Donation helps nonprofit organizations engage their supporters in volunteer incentive programs available through supporters’ employers. As part of their corporate social responsibility efforts, many companies now offer volunteer incentives to employees such as dedicated time off for volunteering (VTO) and access to volunteer grant programs, in which employers will donate to nonprofit organizations that their employees volunteer with (often at an hourly rate).
By engaging eligible volunteers in their employer incentive programs, organizations can raise more from volunteer grant fundraising and boost volunteer engagement with their cause.
With the Double the Donation and VolunteerMatters integration, volunteers can search for and select their company in the Contact Organization field, which will then provide the volunteer with additional information on the various corporate volunteer incentives available through their company and actionable next steps for claiming incentives.
In this solution we will be highlighting the user experience regarding the Double the Donation integration with VolunteerMatters from the initial registration, to their volunteer dashboard, to assignment detail pages, and their personal VolunteerMatters profile page.
When enabled, a Double the Donation Info Alert portlet will be displayed on the Volunteer Dashboard, My Profile, and Assignment Detail pages. This will include a button/link to the Employer Volunteer Incentives popup. The following sections will detail how the integration works and is displayed on each area of VolunteerMatters.
Registration Form
During the registration process, the volunteer will search for their company via the built in Organization field ("Employer/Organization"), and select it if it is returned. They will always have the option to write in a company name, if their employer is not found.
Volunteer Dashboard
The Volunteer Dashboard or Home page (https://customercode.volunteermatters.org/home*) in your VolunteerMatters system includes system Announcements, a volunteer's current assignment, feedback links, opportunity search, and now the Double the Donation Info Alert portlet. To access the Employer Volunteer Incentives popup for the volunteer's selected company, click the "More Info" button ().
If the volunteer has a company configured in the organization field that was one of the Double the Donation options, after they click the "More Info" button, it will display the Employer Volunteer Incentives popup with information specific to that company.
If a volunteer does not have a company configured or they manually entered the company, it will still display the alert, but when the volunteer clicks on the "More Info" button, they will be able to search for a company's Employer Volunteer Incentives via the Double the Donation information.
My Profile Page
The volunteer's My Profile page (https://customercode.volunteermatters.org/volunteer/my-profile*) within VolunteerMatters includes the volunteer's contact information, volunteer history totals, current assignments, credentials, etc.. Slightly different from the Volunteer Dashboard, there is no Double the Donation Info Alert portlet but instead a text link under the Organization field to access the Employer Volunteer Incentives popup.
If the volunteer has a company configured in the organization field that was one of the Double the Donation options, after they click the "Click here for more information" text link, it will display the Employer Volunteer Incentives popup with information specific to that company.
If a volunteer does not have a company configured or they manually entered the company, it will still display the alert, but when the volunteer clicks on the "Click here for more information" text link, they will be able to search for a company's Employer Volunteer Incentives via the Double the Donation information.
Updating the Organization Value
If the volunteer wishes to update the Organization value, they will click the "Edit" button () on their My Profile page.
This will open up the My Profile edit page and the volunteer can scroll down to the Organization field ("Employer/Organization") and search for their company and select it if it is returned. They will always have the option to write in a company name, if their employer is not found.
Note: If they already had a value in this field, they simply to click the "Select a different company" link to choose a new employer/company.
Once they are satisfied with the value, they will just scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the "Save" button ().
Assignment Detail Page
After a volunteer signs themselves up for a project need or is manually assigned by an administrators, they will have a current assignment listed on their volunteer dashboard and my profile pages under the "My Assignments" module. This enables them to click on any assignment (via the icon) and access the detail page for that assignment.
This is also the landing page after they initially complete a need sign up. This page includes assignment and project descriptions, extended project information, need times, social media sharing, withdrawal options, comments, etc., and now the Double the Donation Info Alert portlet. To access the Employer Volunteer Incentives popup for the volunteer's selected company, click the "More Info" button ().
